“We’re thrilled to welcome back the Billboard Music Awards to ABC,” Karey Burke, president of entertainment for ABC Entertainment and Freeform, said in a statement. “It’s been more than a decade since we’ve had live music on our air on a big scale, and there’s no better partner than dick clark productions to produce this annual event celebrating some of music’s biggest stars.”

The show will feature performances by some of the biggest names in music, as well as awards in numerous categories. Among the artists who have been announced as performers so far are Ariana Grande, Kendrick Lamar and Billie Eilish. Hosting duties have not yet been announced.
